SHE SLEPT ALL NIGHT!!!!!!!!

Last night Lilian Rae Dunaway slept all night long! We woke up when the alarm went off and realized that we hadn't gotten up yet! Whatever you did, Linz, keep it up! :)
Lilian is just so much fun to be with! And boy, can daddy make her smile. Here are some pics. The first one is from a few days ago. I just loved the facial expression.

She's a GENIUS!

Still not sleeping...

Lilian is doing just fine and dandy. She is 2 months old now. And it just seems like she's been around forever now. At the very least, much longer than 2 months. People come up to us in public and comment on how tiny she is, we think she's HUGE! Her Dr. Appt. was Friday and all went well...until the shots. She is officially 11lbs 15 oz. But I say she's 12 pounds. And she is 22 1/2" long. What a growing baby! I must offer an apology to Jeff and Lilian. I had to leave the Dr. office before the shots because my orchestra group from school had a performance. Jeff had to handle those on his own. He said she screamed, but calmed down just fine. I'm sorry I missed being there.

Yeah, like the title says, she's still not sleeping through the night. But she is very scheduled to wake up between 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM. If we could just tack on another hour and a half, it'd be great! Here's a super cute picture of Lilian and her daddy. I LOVE daddy shots...maybe because I was such a daddy's girl and I miss him so much. Something special about daddies.

7 Hours!!!!

Lilian slept for 7 hours!!!!!! (give or take a few minutes)

Last night, after she took 6 oz before bed, she went to bed around 8:30 PM. We went to bed very shortly after that. It's been a long busy week with schools starting up. Anyways, next thing we knew it was 3:20! Way to go baby girl!!!!! I fed her a little and put her back down. I was back in bed before 4:00 AM. Sweet!

I wish I could show you what she looks like now, but the flash would just wake her up. So, no, no picture right now. But her head is wedged in her side bumpers and her hands are up around her face. so cute.

I hope we are off to a great start on sleeping all night! I'll keep you posted. :)

I Hate Working!

Don't get me wrong. (Especially if one of my administration catches this blog) I really do like my job. I'm finally starting to get to the place in my career that I've been aiming for, for my whole life...BUT it is really, really sad to leave my little baby every single day.

We are very blessed to have Nana Ricky to be doing most of the caregiving. She's lovin' it. :) And I'm glad that Lilian will have plenty of time with her. Also we will be going to Lindsey's starting next week. I'm glad for a good friend to watch Lilian where I know she'll be cared for. Lindsey's girls, Baylee and Chloe will be good friends to Lilian I'm sure.

All this to say, I'm still very sad that I don't see my daughter for 8-10 hours a day. It makes it really hard to put her down for the 4 hours that she is home before bedtime. I keep telling myself that many parents and children have gone through this and have made it just fine, so we will too.

Ok, enough rambling for this one. I'm going to go watch my baby sleep.

Here are a couple of pics of Lilian flashing us a great smile! I never knew how this little expression would melt my heart again and again. Even looking at the pictures, I nearly tear up because I'm so in love. I hope for some of you, it brings back great memories of your children when they were this small. I hope I never lose this sense of awe and wonder at God's most precious creation...children.
