Walls and Floors

What a weekend! Walls have been built and the floor trusses set and the main floor put on! There are way to many little details about the weekend to put on here, but let's just say that life happens. Some things went way slower than expected, and at least one truss was the wrong size. Fortunately, it was too long, so it could be cut to size. Mom Ricky and I were the official "Go-fers", including getting the floor sheeting from Grandma's barn! That was a chore, but not nearly like what the guys were doing. Enjoy the pictures!

Here's Jeff, (Uncle) Mike, and Bruce working on those floor trusses.

Here is the view going into the basement.

Inside the basement will be all open. The wall to the left is the stair well.

The room on the right will be moms' room. When they get old and decrepid.(SP?) :)
The room on the left will be the laundry. The pipes sticking out of the floor is a bathroom.

Here is the floor as seen from the front bedrooms looking toward the garage.

Looking good. But where's the roof?

Isn't it so gratifying to see walls, even if you can still see through them. It feels like you are getting so much more done in one day when you can see walls going up and filling the space. It really is fun...even though it's exhausting!

Looks great! (Even without a roof, wise guy.)
